Steve Kleckler
A Batavia native, Coach Steve has dedicated the past 11 years to training and competing in mixed martial arts. As a Purple Belt under Behring Jiu-Jitsu, he has built a strong foundation in grappling and has tested his skills in numerous tournaments, including FUJI, Grappling Industries, AGF, and NAGA competitions. In addition to his grappling experience, he has competed in 10 amateur MMA bouts, giving him firsthand knowledge of what it takes to prepare for and succeed in competition.
As both an MMA coach and youth instructor, Coach Steve is passionate about helping students of all ages and experience levels reach their goals. Whether working with children learning discipline and confidence, teenagers developing athletic skills, or adults pursuing fitness or competition, he creates a supportive, structured environment where every student can progress at their own pace.
His coaching philosophy centers on mastering the fundamentals, building confidence through consistent improvement, and helping each athlete achieve their individual objectives. From beginners looking to get in shape to experienced competitors preparing for their next event, he is committed to providing high-quality instruction that develops both skill and character.
